Situated in the near north of Ontario, Jewel Lake Wilderness is open from the Victoria Day weekend in May to Labour Day weekend in September (except by reservation afterwards). Warm sunny days and moderate nights tend to characterize this time of year.
The beautiful wilderness setting abounds to welcome your return to nature. Jewel Lake Wilderness will appeal to those who wish to leave the amenities of city life behind. Somewhat rustic, but more than adequate, and perhaps just what you are looking for. Northern pines, a spring-fed lake. The sites and sounds of nature surround you. Excellent for a clothes-free, carefree naturist experience.

The lake has a natural sand beach and a gently sloping shoreline at the sunning-swimming gathering place. Many times, moose, deer, rabbits and partridges are seen at the forest edge.
Canoeing, sailing, swimming, horseshoes, badminton, archery, hiking and berry picking are some of the activities that make warm summer days so very enjoyable.
Electricity is not available. However, wood-heated hot water for shower and bath is available. And you can enjoy the warm healthy sensation of the wood-heated sauna.
The water is clear and there are speckle trout, pickerel and perch - the kids' favorite - available in the lake.
