Jewel Lake Wilderness is located between North Bay and Sturgeon Falls, 6 kilometres north of Highway #17 West on Riding Stable Road. The wilderness setting is crowned with red and white pines towering into the sky.
The 100-acre lake has a small natural sand beach and a gently sloping shoreline at the sunning-swimming gathering place. Many times, moose, deer, rabbits and partridges are seen at the forest edge.
